In the early days, tactical vests were primarily used as a sort of protective apparel for uniformed personnel in the military and police enforcement. However, in recent times survivalists, hunters, members of private security details, and those who enjoy being outdoors consider tactical vests to be an absolute need because they are needed for both protection and as a place to store their equipment and ammunition.
Because there is such a wide variety of options available, it may be challenging to choose the appropriate tactical vest. These options range from straightforward rigs holding a torch and various other items to highly sophisticated SWAT professional-grade protective gear. Cross Draw Tactical Vests
Most people choose the option of a cross-draw tactical vest because of its ease of use and convenience. It is also the most affordable and the most commonly available. It closes with a zipper down the front and includes multiple pockets that are sewn into the interior of the vest. Although the look of the different brands varies, most of them have detachable tactical belts and gun holsters.
Plate Carriers
Plate carriers, which can have a protection plate affixed to either the front or the back, are the most expensive option of the three options. The weight of the plate will vary depending on whether it is designed to shield users from actual bullets or paintballs. Plate carriers have a webbing known as Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment (MOLLE), often sewn in rows of durable nylon, allowing additional pockets to be fastened to the vest.
Battle Belt
A harness combat belt disperses the weight of your gear from your stomach to your shoulders because the suspender straps are designed in the MOLLE fashion. With the battle belt, you can attach additional pouches to the shoulder strap. As a result of the increased ventilation, it has a lower potential for overheating compared to alternatives with closed chests. Users also have complete control over their upper body, which is an added benefit of using this system.
